The Makad Commitment to Renewable Energy
Makad is committed to protecting our environment while contributing to the welfare of society by developing projects that help the economy and create employment. In pursuit of that goal, we have also become committed to the development of renewable energy resources that will help to protect our environment and reduce our dependence upon fossil fuels.
Makad’s newest development is more than just a power plant. The generation of electrical power from the abundant forests of the Pacific Northwest of the United States is more than a dream. Makad is developing a 24 megawatt woodwaste electricity generation facility to burn waste wood and generate electricity in Longview, Washington on behalf of Northwest Renewable, LLC.
Makad is also developing some of the first biofuel stations in the Pacific Northwest where our environmentally conscious neighbors may choose to fill their vehicles with clean burning fuel products that are compatible with our philosophy: “The Power of Clean Energy™”
Makad anticipates involvement in other renewable energy projects and research in the coming years. Makad is becoming active in research relating to the development of cellulosic ethanol and specialty biodiesel and expect that the future will bring us additional opportunities in the clean energies of tomorrow.
Makad Global is in the process of developing expertise and resources in the fields of biomass, solar energy and wind power generation. This process is the result of a core decision and concerted effort to devote financial, corporate and human resources to become a leader in the renewable energy industry.
“We at Makad believe that we are all custodians of the earth. In all of our projects, minimizing the impact on our environment is a foremost priority. Our philosophy has carried over to Makad’s commitment to renewable energy. We expect to be a major player in research and development of the fuels and energy of the future."
Elie George Makad, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
