The Makad Global Team has a long history of development of industrial, energy, commercial and hospitality projects in the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and Asia. Since 1976, the Company, through Mr. Elie Makad, Chairman and CEO, has had a significant development presence in North America. Under the direction of Mr. Makad and through the resources of Makad Corp., American operations headquarters was initially established in Portland, Oregon, USA and is currently located in Vancouver, Washington, USA. The North American operations center has been active in development of international trade in hard goods and staple products, food products and other consumer goods. Makad Corp. has been involved in hospitality development, theme park resort development, energy production, basic product development, chemical production, renewable energy and numerous other fields of business development.

The Makad Global Team focuses on development, as well as its other core disciplines. Makad has shifted away from providing services to unaffiliated owners and has instituted a policy of providing core services to entities in which Makad or its affiliates have a significant equity/ownership interest.

The Makad Global Team has determined that it will devote the resources necessary to make it a leader in renewable resources and energy.  Makad is developing projects to generate power and fuel from biomass and is involved in developing power generation and solar energy projects on a global basis. Makad is evaluating and developing various cutting-edge technologies in the biomass, biofuel, wind and solar energy fields.
